The first canned heat album is pretty much Canned Heats version of traditional blues. I was a little disappointed with this LP, but there are some good tunes here, Rollin and Tumblin and Dust my Broom are my favorites among others. Canned heat blew me away with their next release. "Boogie with Canned Heat" is a very good blues rock LP, (5 stars).Reviews:

Canned Heat were clearly a blues, boogie, and rock band, with foray's into psychedelia being few and far between. Their mystique and 'connection' to the counterculture have much more to do with 'Going Up the Country' being tapped as the title song for the movie 'Woodstock', and the drug-driven demise of /5(2).
