Previously Henry Cow had been on the Virgin roster, but their last album, Western Culture, came out on the Broadcast label (which run by Henry Cow itself, formed specifically to get away from the ridiculousness of Virgin Records, a one-time independent turned commercially huge), and many future works by band members were released by Recommended.
